I made this portrait for Sharry as an inspiration to keep working further on a personal milestone that she achieved with a lot of will power and determination. She is a kind and generous woman who genuinely care for everyone around her. She is a natural giver so it was a pleasure to be able to do something back for her!
Orange Roses is my first painting that I finished, if I can say that, once I turned to my artistic side two years after losing my son. As I struggled with the loss of everything that mattered, trying to find a tiny light of hope in the darkness, these bright oranges flowers on a black background came to life!
They represent the undying human spirit, which shines through darkness. It helped me heal by providing focus and looking at them still uplifts my spirit!
I love to paint flowers and tried my hand's on acrylic one day, to know the difference in oil and acrylic. Again, every stroke is a teacher if you are interested in learning.
This is one of my more recent paintings. Watching the sea quietly and realizing the enormous power of nature is humbling. This is from one of those moments.
Portrait of my sister is a part of the series of female portraits that I created to reconnect with myself. It is dedicated to every woman who struggles to find herself while balancing her traditional and professional roles. She switches between the two in a heartbeat and struggles to keep balance many times in a day, every day.
She is Kiran-The Queen
This is my most recent painting that I created for a friend as a thank you for donating to my charity, Angad Hundal Society. I heard he wanted to have a picture of famous MacDonald Bridge in Halifax for his new office and I panted it for him.
The MacDonald Bridge is a famous Halifax landmark.
In the journey to reconnect with my original self, I created Milakuhle, a south African young girl with a heart of gold. She is sad but determined. She observes life quietly believing that one day she will make it what she wants it to be, on her own!
Women are multitaskers, we are all aware of feeling being pulled in many directions at one time. One day, when I was feeling tired, trying to balance my multifaceted life, multitasker came into life!
Fall is a beautiful season! Bright colours for some, new beginnings for others as schools reopen, but winter bells for those who may just focus on falling leaves and worry about winter being close. We are all holding flag of our own convictions while walking the path of life.
It can be just a fall or fall-out!
Pink flowers in white vase represent simplicity and calm. I painted those once I started coming in terms with grief and accepted that there is nothing that I can do except learn to live with what I have left. It was a moment of peace and summer flowers came out of that moment. Pink flowers in white vase represent internal peace.
